Lula

Lula is the protagonist of Lulandia, she is the first instance of William making an OC for his games. Lulandia would later go on to be the backbone of Hollow Knight's code

Hungry Knight and Friend

Hungry Knight is the protagonist of Hungry Knight, he goes on a quest to defeat three guardians to unlock the temple and revive his dead best friend. Hungry Knight would later become thye protagonist of Hollow Knight, where he must defeat three dreamers to unlock the temple and defeat the Hollow Knight

Hornet

Hornet is the most well known female charcter from Hollow Knight, she always wears a red dress and weilds a sewing needle, the daughter of a spider and the king. She is set to star in her own game Hollow Knight Silksong. Her character may be critiqued by some as simply being a "Mary Sue" or "Strong Female Character", while others predict that in Hollow Knight Silksong, this will be proven completely true as they want her shipped with another female character. These, however, are just rumors and Hornet is still a deep and complexe character and we are excited to see where she goes in Silksong

Quirrel

Quirrel is a friendly NPC in Hollow Knight, he travels around the kingdom after being called to it. He eventually arrives to aid Hungry Knight in the UUMUU boss battle. Quirrel is an old man struck with Alzhiemers, as he appears around the world the takes in he scenery and comes to enjoy Hungry's company. He is so far the only character to get a chaper in the game's official comic series

Elderbug

Elderbug is the first friendly character you'll encounter in Hollow Knight. A conservative old man, he lives in Dirtmouth and warns Hungry about the dangers down in the kingdom. If you visit him frequently he is very talkative, and will become a good friend to you

Zote

Zote is an annoying, egotistical lookalike of Hungry, appearing throughout the kingdom needing to be saved, his ego eventually enthralls Hungry's fat, nerdy, shy stan into becoming a fan of his. This unlocks a boss called Grey Prince Zote, however, beating the boss over and over again causes the fat, nerdy, shy stan to realize she can do better, and so she sets off to find a new suiter. Zote will remain however

The Stag

The Stag is the fast travel system of Hollow Knight. He is the last of his kind. If all stations are found, he will remember the location of his nest and will take Hungry to it

Sly

Sly is the shopkeeper of Dirtmouth, selling ancient items, keys, and charms. Sly is also The Great Nailsage, if Hungry learns all three Nail Arts, Sly will give them a special charm to verify his new status among Nail Masters

Mantis Lords

The Mantis Tribe is the only functioning state organization in Hollow Knight, it is lead by Lords. Originally there were four Mantis Lords, after the outbreak of The Infection The Traitor Lord was exiled for intaking it willingly to increase his strength. The remaining three Mantis Lords still lead the tribd and will challenge all who want to enter Deepnest. The Traitor's Child was in a homosexual relationship with one of The Five Great Knights. When The Traitor lord became infected he killed his daughter and buried her in The Queen's Garden. It is thought that Traitor Lord never approved of the brainwashing of his daughter, and that he did not act until he was infected because of the status of the lover, who had close connections to The Pale King, and that The Infection finally drove him to do something, but in such a horrible fashion

Lemm

Lemm is a collector located in the capital. He is exceptionally knowledgable in the history of the kingdom

White Lady

The White Lady is an apathetic tree and queen of the former kingdom of Hallownest, she is despotic and parasitic, having siezed a section of Greenpath for her own personal theifdom while she leeches away nutrients from it. She was the mother of The Vessels, including Hungry and Hollow, however due to her apathy was cucked over by The Pale King, in favor of Herrah who he bore Hornet with. The Lady is also blind and stupid, not knowing her greatest servent was killed right outside her door

The Dreamers

The Dreamers are three guardians who went into a deep slumber to seal away The Hollow Knight

The Pale King

The Pale King was the ruler and founder of Hallownest. Once a giant Wyrm, the king reincarnated as the form you see above. He has a charisma and holy aura which allowed him to command primal bugs to his will. Using this power he built the kingdom himself, taking over the uninhabited tunnels and forming alliances with more advanced peoples. His kingdom was the most advanced the region has ever seen, and brought intelligence and prosperity to the common bugs. However with time a single great foe shook the kingdom. In order to save his country from The Radiance, he formulated a plan to sacrifice his own seed to The Void, to create a hollow vessel to hold in the infection. His best efforts couldn't save the kingdom, and he eventually went into hiding where he died in The White Palace

The Hollow Knight

The Pure Vessel, created to hold in The Infection, he has only base primal instincts

The Radiance

The source of The Infection, once simply god of the moths, her people forgot her. The Radiance then went jealous women mode, and plotted to destroy he who had taken her followers, The Pale King

Grimm

Grimm is a flamboyant cult leader. He performs a ritual suicide in order to sustain himself and his reincarnations

Godseeker

Godseeker is a lost soul, she came to Hallownest in order to connect with the Higher Beings of the land

Lace

Lace is an independent merc working to undermine The Citadel of Pharloom. She is hypothesised as being a dyke and some very annoying individuals wish that she forces herself upon Hornet. Most of us hope she will be killed at some point

Seth

Seth is a holy warrior tasked with defending The Citadel
